Manor On The Hill is a family owned and operated Assisted Living Community located in the heart of Central Massachusetts and just off route 2 in Leominster. We are a team of dedicated professionals all here for the care, comfort, support, dignity and welfare of our residents. We offer a variety of care levels designed to suit our resident’s needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide activities of daily living assistance to the Residents as directed from each Resident’s Service Plan.
  • Provides medication reminders and/or assistance per state regulations.
  • Provides encouragement and support to Residents.
  • Responds to the dining needs of our Residents and Guests.
  • Communicates to Resident Care Director concerns and changes to Resident’s needs.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work every other weekend.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion to serve seniors.
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current CNA or HHA license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to complete all specified training programs in a timely manner including medication training.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds individually.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

2. Position name: LPN Supervisor for Assisted Living

Job Description:

In this role, your Nursing and Leaderships skills will ensure that quality care is provided to the Residents while you direct the day-to-day functions of the Caregiver Staff.   You must be approachable, flexible and professional in representing Manor on the Hill internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Delegation of activities of daily living assistance to the CNAs as directed from each Resident’s Service Plan.
  • Communicating with families of Residents.
  • Assure compliance with all applicable state and local regulations.
  • Provide accurate documentation and record-keeping updating Resident records with information regarding nursing care, treatment plans and observations.
  • Follows progressive discipline of employees when required.
  • Ensures safety of Residents and Associates.
  • Administer medication and treatments per health care providers’ orders and state regulations.
  • Assess Residents and Prospective Residents needs and develop appropriate care plan.
  • Full Time, 1 to 8 pm (35 hours) – Every other Weekend Required 8-4; will call availability

Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts LPN License
  • Demonstrated passion to serve seniors.
  • One year of Nursing experience, preferably in an Assisted Living Community
  • Knowledge of Dementia a plus
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Able to lift 50 pounds individually.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Job Description:

Do you enjoy working with the elderly? We have a vacancy for a highly motivated, energetic and compassionate CNA to join our team and work in our fast paced Adult Day Health Program. The position available is in our Spanish program. Must be bilingual and the ability to write in Spanish is a plus. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM.

4. Position name: Memory Care Activity Assistant

Job Description:

Goal: To engage the Residents in a complete program of physical, intellectual, spiritual and social enrichment.

Reports To: Activity Director

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities as directed by the Activity Director and in accordance with each Resident’s plan of care.
    • Be sure area to be used for activity is free
    • Set areas up as needed for the type of activity planned.
    • Remind Wellness staff of activities scheduled and Residents who desire to participate.
    • Assist with transports of Residents to the activity area.
    • Follow the instructions for the activity as directed.
    • Observe individual Resident participation and responses during the activity.
    • Assist Residents after the activity.
    • Notify Wellness of Resident behaviors which may indicate medical problems.
  • Help maintain a pleasant and cheerful community environment.
    • Help with putting up, taking down and storing seasonal decorations.
    • Help care for plants
    • Assist Resident to display calendar, pictures or other mementos in their room.
  • Participate and promote staff participation in community-wide special activities such as dress-up days and special observances.
  • Supervise and instruct the Resident so they feel successful in participating in the activity.
  • Provide a variety of small group activities for Residents to meet their physical and cognitive needs. include outside activities when weather permits.
    • Provide 1:1 activity twice a week for those Residents who spend a large portion of their day in their rooms
    • Provide 1:1 if a Resident is being behavioral
  • Request Resident Care Staff to toilet Residents as needed.

Qualifications:

  • One year employment (Activities, CNA ….) in a Memory Care or Dementia Unit Required
